NASA principal Moses Wetang’ula wants the National Transport and Safety Authority disbanded over rampant road accidents.
The Bungoma senator accused NTSA director Francis Meja of sleeping on the job.
Sixteen people died in a horrific accident at Sachangwan of Tuesday.
Wetang’ula blamed NTSA officers for causing accidents. He said they violated traffic regulations for chasing truck drivers.
“The director justifying his officers’ action is reckless. He should be sacked because he is unable to handle his responsibilities,” he said.
At the same time, NASA finally submitted its list of nominees for Senate leadership positions for approval.
Wetang’ula, James Orengo (Siaya), Mutula Kilonzo jr (Makueni), Petronilla Were (nominated) and Ladema Ole Kina (Narok) have been nominated for the Senate Business Committee.
Rose Nyamunga (nominated) and Clephas Malalah (Kakamega) are in the Speaker’s panel.
