Atwoli tells Matiang’i to respect his elders, reinstate NASA leaders security
Cotu boss Francis Atwoli has told Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i to respect his elders in apparent reference to the withdrawal of security officers of top NASA officials under unclear circumstances.
Atwoli criticized the acting Cabinet Secretary for interior saying that he was just chest thumping. He told him that the government would be held responsible if anything was to happen to the NASA presidential candidate or his running mate.
Francis Atwoli told Matiang’i “I want to tell young Matiang’i that he was a nobody. He came to the limelight the other day. I am even sure he cannot win a race to be a leader of a local cattle dip in his Kisii county,” as he addressed journalists on Thursday
“Let him learn to respect elders and people who took him to school. Raila is a senior leader, having served as Prime Minister, he needs to be treated with respect,”
Earlier this week the security of the former Prime Minister was withdrawn, Fred Matiang’i said that the reason for this was because the NASA leader had pushed the government to the wall stating that he had proven that he wants to causes chaos in the country.
Raila Odinga has dismissed the issue as a non-issue saying that Kenyans were his security.
