Babu to Jaguar: I accept your apology, but respect Raila
Controversial Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has accepted Kasarani MP Charles Njagia’s (Jaguar) apology following a fist fight the two had outside Parliament.
Babu, however, told Jaguar to respect opposition chief Raila Odinga whose name ignited the fight.
On Tuesday, Babu and Jaguar exchanged blows in Parliament over a verbal exchange in which they argued on who between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga was Kenya’s President.
Babu supports Raila while Jaguar who was elected MP for the first time supports Uhuru.
“I have accepted Jaguar’s apology and Embakasi Central MP Benjamin [Mwangi] for attacking me in Parliament. That was conduct unbecoming of Members of Parliament,” Babu said on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Jaguar apologised to residents of Starehe following the Parliament fight.
“Starehe people didn’t elect me to fight in Parliament,” Jaguar said on Wednesday.
He, however, accused Babu of “going through depression” telling him that “he needs counseling” citing the Embakasi East MP’s recent verbal attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family using “unpalatable language” during a NASA rally in Kawangware.
