Coast NASA leaders threaten to reignite secession talk
NASA leaders from the Coast have threatened to reignite secession talk if the IEBC fails to cancel the repeat presidential election slated for October 26.
The leaders, led by Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, said they will rally residents to push for their independence if the Opposition’s demands are ignored.
They spoke during rallies at Rabai and Kaloleni.
The legislators stated that the demands of the Opposition will guarantee the nation free and fair polls following the nullification of Uhuru Kenyatta’s win by the Supreme Court.
They said that Odinga’s supporters are ready to take part in the repeat presidential polls if the irreducible minimums are met.
They vowed that NASA supporters at the Coast will not not take part in the elections.
The five leaders are MPs Owen Baya (Kilifi North) Teddy Mwambue (Ganze) William Kanoti (Rabai) Paul Katana (Kaloleni) and Ken Chunya (Kilifi South)
