Governor Has Done Little For Nakuru Residents, Says Kinyanjui
Former NTSA boss, Lee Kinyanjui and Nakuru County gubernatorial aspirant has said that the current governor has done little to the people of Nakuru since he got elected.
Kinyajui said that the county, through the leadership of Kinuthia Mbugua had misused funds allocated to the county.
The county had been allocated more than Sh40 billion in the past four years, but had little to show for it.
The aspirant who is running on a Jubilee ticket, accused the incumbent of engaging in looting of public funds.
“Sh44 billion has been released by the (National) Treasury but people on the ground has nothing to celebrate because the county government cannot account for it,” said Kinyanjui.
Governor Mbugua dismissed the allegations and referred to the remarks as “those of a loser”. He accused the former NTSA boss of peddling false information to taint his image.
“My opponent is a perennial loser who has started sensing defeat and is now using all the dirty tricks to make up for his failures. But I wish to tell him it’s too late as his poor development record speaks volumes,” he said.
The governor said his administration has improved the health sector, trade, and constructed 5,000 kilometres of roads.
