For the second time in a row Kisumu Central voters have taught Former TNA Secretry General Onyango Oloo political lesson he will never forget.

The former Uhuru point man who purportedly joined the Orange Democratic Movement promising ‘he had moved with Jubilee’s secret’ has lost again in the repeat ODM Kisumu Central constituency primaries.

Oloo and Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura lost to Fred Ouda in the repeat exercise.

Ouda won the race by garnering 6,694 votes against Oloo’s 4,991, Obura emerged third with 1,040 votes. Ouda had made a name for himself in Kisumu for his theatrics and staunch support for National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga.

High court judge Francis Tuyiot had earlier ordered the ODM party to hold repeat nominations for the Kisumu Central parliamentary seat within 72 hours.

He had filed the petition to the ODM Disputes Tribunal claiming the nominations were full of irregularities but it was rejected. The repeat nominations pitted Oloo against incumbent Ken Obura and Central Gem MCA Fred Ouda.

Ouda, had once removed his cloths in public in support of Raila and was also arrested in 2016 during the CORD anti IEBC demonstrations for chaining himself at the electoral body’s office in Milimani, Kisumu.
