Paul Otuoma has officially sent a letter to the secretary general of Orange Democratic Party to confirm his exit from the party.

“I am a life part member no: 000032, having been issued with Life Membership Certificate. I would like to resign and withdraw from the party with immediate effect,” read Otuoma’s letter in part.

The letter was today received by the office of the Registrar of Political Parties.

This follows the bundled Busia party primaries that saw incumbent Sospeter Ojaamong declared the winner with 92,358 against Otuoma;s 63,752 votes.

Otuoma had complained about the results, terming the process flawed and asking the party for a repeat vote.

He later, however, stated that a repeat nomination process would be futile and he would no longer take part.

Otuoma has left the party and asked the party to remove his name from list of members
