Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday visited the late former IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando’s home and condoled with family as final preparations for burial are made.

Msando, whose body was found by family members at City Mortuary on July 31 after going missing for two days will be buried at his rural home in Lifunya village Siaya County on Saturday.

“It is a heartbreaking and unbearable pain to the young family,” Raila who was in company of Siaya Senator James Orengo and Embakasi East MP-elect Babu Owino said.

“It is a Kenyan tragedy. No one has a right to tear at the fabric of life which another man has painfully woven for himself and his children. Msando’s death has degraded our nation.”

He said international investigators should help probe Msando’s death and unearth what Kenyans and the deceased‘s family do not know.

Police have been on the spotlight over what the opposition terms law enforcement agencies’ laxity to conclusively investigate Msando’s death.

Msando went missing on July 28 only to be found dead in Kikuyu, Kiambu County before the body was transferred to City Mortuary.

He was expected to oversee an electronically managed election that pitted President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila and six other presidential candidates.
