Nairobi governor Mike Sonko held talks with representatives of the Matatu Owners Association on Thursday.

The meeting was to discuss a joint effort to streamline the public transport sector to ease traffic congestion and redeem order within Nairobi.

The MOA representatives pledged to work with the county government to realize these dreams.

Sonko assured the MOA reps of his commitment to improve traffic flow and ensure that residents can get the value for their money.

The governor and MOA agreed to hold a follow up meeting within a week with National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), the National Police Service (NPS), National Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (NAMATA) and other stakeholders.

The former senator stated, “Building strong partnerships should help deliver on his administration’s promises.”
