Taylor Swift groping trial: Judge throws out case against her by Mueller
Pop star Taylor Swift’s trial came to an end Friday after the presiding judge threw out the case filed against her by ex-DJ David Mueller who groped her back in 2013.
The judge ruled in favour of Swift to end Mueller’s lawsuit against her on grounds he failed to prove that she was responsible for his getting fired after the encounter.
The Shake It Off singer claimed that Mueller groped her during a photo shoot.
Mueller then sued Swift, her mother and management team of pressuring his radio station.
Swift denied this and countersued.
The judge sent the jury home and Mueller and his team decided to settle their suit.
The trial has sparked a wave of support from women including Harry Potter star Emma Watson, commending her for speaking out against any kind of harassment.
Mueller had sued for $3million while Swift had countersued only for $1.00 explaining that it wasn’t about the money.
