Moses Wetangula has said there is still time to get a suitable candidate that will fly the NASA flag in the August polls.

The headache of announcing NASA flagbearer is one that pundits reckon will widen the cracks in the alliance.

Wetangula said that in 2002 when former president Moi was sent home during the ‘Narc wave’, the coalition gave indications of their flagbearer few months to the general elections.

“We still have time to get a flagbearer that will steer the alliance to victory. I urge our supporters to remain calm and not panic” Wetangula said.

Boni Khalwale, who is a member of the technical committee said that they will give the country an acceptable flagbearer.

The technical committee was formed by the National Super Alliance (Nasa) to help identify the presidential candidate.

“I will talk with my colleagues in the committee including the ANC’s Kipruto Kirwa and ODM’s James Orengo to give our supporters an acceptable flagbearer” Khalwale said.
