You won’t intimidate me, Matiang’i tells NASA
Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has told Opposition chief Raila Odinga that he won’t be intimidated while carrying out his duties.
Matiang’i who was speaking at Kisii Cathedral said that it was constitutional for him to work with other sectors involved in the preparations of the August polls.
He added that the role of his ministry was to ensure Kenyans had a peaceful and secure elections. “Our duty is to ensure Kenyans have a peaceful elections” said Matiang’i.
He added that those who are planning to cause mayhem during and after the August general elections will be met by the full force of the law.
NASA leaders have accused the military and the police force as being roped in an elaborate effort by the Jubilee government to rig the August polls.
But a defiant acting Interior CS has denied the allegations.
