Eldoret City Marathon is enhanced by legends and enthusiasts.On Sunday, the Eldoret City Marathon returned with a bang, electrifying the City of Champions once more.The marathon returned this year after being postponed due to sponsorship issues the previous year.

Despite the cold morning, sports fans turned out to support the competitors on the town’s streets.


The esteemed figures from Kenya arrived to greet the winners at the finish line.

Not forgotten was the renowned steeplechaser Wilson Boit, a past world and national champion. He was at the finish line to give the new champions his congratulations.

Moses Kiptanui, the three-time global steeplechase champion, and Julius Kariuki, the Kenyan who won the gold in the event in the 1988 and 1990 Olympic Games, held previous records in the water and barrier races.
